We understand that when you hand your dog over to someone, you're putting a lot of trust in their hands. Mark Singer, has over 43 years of hands-on experience in professional dog training and behaviour rehabilitation.

From Military Service to Civilian Expertise

Mark’s career began in 1980, when he enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as a police dog handler. Over the next 12 years, he rose through the ranks to become a specialist dog trainer, responsible not just for working dogs, but also for training and supervising other handlers. His military career set a strong foundation in obedience, discipline, and real-world application of canine behaviour.

During his time in the RAAF, Mark became a narcotics detection dog trainer, playing a key role in the fight against illegal drug use within the military. His expertise was recognized and used extensively by Australian Customs, the Australian Federal Police, and various state police forces, making him a go-to trainer in high-stakes operations.

After leaving the military, Mark was invited by Australian Quarantine Inspection Services to help establish their Quarantine Detection Dog Program—a cornerstone of the country’s biosecurity strategy. Once the program was successfully launched, he transitioned into civilian life and launched his own dog training business in 1996, offering behaviour and obedience services to the general public. He’s been doing so ever since.

A Trusted Leader in Dog Behaviour

Mark’s approach is grounded in science-based training methods that focus on emotional stability, clarity, and long-term behaviour change. Whether working with high-drive working dogs or nervous family pets, his ability to read, understand, and reshape behaviour is what sets him apart.

He is government-accredited and respected internationally for his work, with a career that spans law enforcement, national biosecurity, and over two decades of private practice. Mark works with dogs of all breeds, ages, and behavioural backgrounds, always tailoring his methods to suit the individual dog and the goals of the owner.

My journey into professional dog training began in Australia with a single realization: despite growing up around dogs, I didn't truly understand them. This changed dramatically when I got Taro, a powerful 33kg American Staffy who challenged everything I thought I knew about canine companions.

Our early struggles became my greatest education. When Taro and I faced training challenges, rather than giving up, I became obsessed with finding solutions. I immersed myself in every aspect of dog psychology—volunteering at shelters, joining training classes, studying various methodologies, and eventually turning my passion into a profession as I began walking and training dogs for others.

The transformation was remarkable. What started as neighborhood dog walking evolved into leading packs of dogs off-leash, developing a reputation for taking any dog with me on my pack walks. My hunger for knowledge led me to apprentice under a renowned trainer in another Australian state—selling most of my possessions and relocating with Taro to pursue this opportunity.

The apprenticeship experience deepened my understanding of the profound connection possible between humans and dogs. I discovered that true training isn't about dominance or control, but about building mutual trust and understanding—a philosophy that now defines my approach.

cameron2Today, I have created Vietnam's premier dog ranch, offering comprehensive training and boarding services alongside my experienced head trainer, Mark. Our mission extends beyond basic obedience—we're transforming how people relate to their dogs, building bridges of understanding that lead to more fulfilling relationships for both species.

My journey from casual dog owner to dedicated professional has taught me that the most rewarding relationships with our canine companions come through patience, respect, and genuine understanding. I invite you to experience this deeper approach to dog companionship, where your dog becomes not just a pet, but a trusted partner in life's adventures.
